Strawberry Picking 2008

1. Our strawberry plants are still producing, but as of August 11, we will have pickings on Tuesdays and Saturdays only, while supply lasts.

2. Because supply is limited, the pickings last for only a short time in the morning; once the ripe fruit has been picked, we close down for the day.

3. Picking will not start until gates are open (9 AM Tuesdays, 10AM on Saturdays)

4. As soon as we are picked out for the day, we will leave a message on the machine announcing the next available picking date.

5. We provide containers to pick into - price is $2.50 per lb.

6. We expect picking to be fairly light for the first week, with supplies steadily increasing into peak season in late July and early August.

7. Depending on availability, we may close picking in mid August, then open up again for another lighter crop towards the end of August.

8. For  best results, transport your berries in a cooler with ice packs.

9. Berries store better unwashed. Do not wash until immediately before use. Store in refrigerator in shallow containers, loosely covered. Use within 2 or 3 days.
