Eat Local: At JoJo’s Cafe we are dedicated to using local products and supporting local producers. We have
a large chef’s garden where we grow our produce and herbs, and our black currants and strawberries come from our farm orchard. Other local farms supply our meats, honey, flour, eggs, granola, and more. To learn more about eating local, fair food visit the Slow Food website.

Staff:
Head Chef: Stephanie Kolk - JoJo's manager and "chef", is a graduate of SAIT’s Culinary Arts program. She is the eldest of the three Kolk
daughters. Her passion for local and fresh food is seen everywhere, from the menu selections to the fresh herbs she picks daily from the greenhouse to make pesto and foccocia breads. The café menu features ingredients from several local producers and fruit grown on the farm. A large chef’s garden, recently planted, provides most of the produce and all of the fresh herbs for the kitchen. “Our focus is fresh, fair food. There’s nothing fresher than eating a meal on the farm where the food has been grown” she says.

Pastry Chef: Jolene Kolk - Since a young age, Jolene or 'Jo' (whom the cafe is named after...), has had a love for cooking, baking and art. Over the years, a passion for combining her artistic abilities and talent in the kitchen became apparent. Currently in the SAIT Pastry Arts program, Jolene is excited to take her skills to the next level. With previous restaurant experience, art awards, cake decorating & other baking courses already under her belt, Jolene is excited to be an integral part of the family business as the pastry chef at JoJo's Cafe and continue her education in the fall at SAIT.
